One night Jason, who can’t contain his curiosity against real danger, leaves (against the rules) to explore this frozen tundra on his own. Packed with GPS, Geiger Counter and his Smart Phone he commandeers a dog sled team and ventures off into the dark distance where he comes upon an ice field that appears to be glowing fluorescent green deep beneath the surface of the thinning and translucent ice.  Engaging his Geiger counter he immediately records extremely high levels of radioactivity.  Jason slowly takes a few steps back as suddenly the ice begins to crack, and Jason slips and falls 60’ into the crevice and passes out.

In the morning, as the sun rises, a solitary ray of sun moves over the crevice sending its temporary warmth all the way down to a still unconscious Jason, but the sun beam also warms the side of a very large metal object laying only a foot from where Jason is lying. The heat from the sun warms the outside of the structure, triggering an internal sensor to turn on its mechanical system of what appears to be some kind of ship. Lights come online and the ship’s heating system kicks in. The ship recognizing a foreign but still living (barely) organism just outside its outer layer, then activates a mechanical retrieving arm, breaks through the thin ice and grabs the half frozen Jason into a sealed holding tank right next to 4 other tanks holding strange but much larger creatures !
